What is the Obra shadcn/ui kit?#

The Obra shadcn/ui kit is a design library file that recreates all components of shadcn/ui inside of Figma.

The kit provides an ideal starting point to start creating a design system based on shadcn/ui.

The Obra shadcn/ui kit is available in two editions:

Community Edition — The free version available on Figma Community. This edition is currently no longer being updated, but we plan to revise the free version after Summer 2026.
Pro Edition — A commercial edition with ongoing updates and support. Read more about Pro or buy a license.

We use a plugin called Obra Autodocs to document the component variants. Obra Autodocs is free and open source.
