On the way to React Pro Blocks — 1.9.2 notes
April 24th, 2026
Here’s a small update about the recent 1.9.1 and 1.9.2 releases, and our roadmap plans to release the Pro Blocks as React code.
Blocks: Quality over quantity
In 1.9.0, we removed several Pro Blocks because we weren’t happy with them. In 1.9.2, we’re adding two new Application blocks (Kanban-01 and Agentic AI-01, including tablet and mobile versions) and cleaning up a lot of existing ones.
Some competitors lead with “500+ blocks!” or “1000+ blocks!” on their pricing page. In practice, a lot of those are near-duplicates or filler. We’d rather ship fewer blocks we’d actually use ourselves, and cut the ones we wouldn’t.
Expect this trend to continue. Every release should tighten the set.
1.9.1 and 1.9.2 in brief
You might notice releases are following up quickly. Right now, we’re going to be focussing on dev work, so the release cycle will slow down a bit until May 11. At that point, the major change will be the inclusion of React-based Pro Blocks.
1.9.2 adds the two new Application blocks and some cleanup across all three Pro Blocks categories.
1.9.1 was a same-week bugfix release — mostly an Alert style slip and re-attaching shadow-xs to Input and Outlined Button.
See the changelog for the full list of changes.
What’s next — a transparent roadmap
We want to be upfront about where the kit is headed over the next few weeks.
React Pro Blocks — shipping by May 11
The next roadmap item is React-based implementations of Pro Blocks. A few details on how that’s going to work:
- First focus: Application and Marketing. E-commerce will follow after a design overhaul
- Delivered via the shadcn registry. We’re aiming to publish the blocks on the shadcn registry behind authentication, so license holders can pull them straight into their projects with the standard shadcn CLI. You’ll also get an example React codebase to reference.
- Vega everywhere. We use Vega in the Figma kit and will match that in the React blocks. We’re thinking about how we can bring Nova and other styles to our kit and are actively solliciting feedback around which styles teams use. Have a comment on this? Please reach out!
